Harry Potter 7 Release Party

We took K to her first (and last, I suppose) Harry Potter release party today. Our very cool independent children's bookstore had a fantastic morning party so we didn't have to stay up until midnight to have fun.

K ate a Triwizard Quidditch Cup, aka 3 flavor snow cone, then made a wand at Olivander's.



K was in a Wizard Duel...


...deciphered some Ancient Runes on the store window...


...played Neville's Toad Toss...


...and was transfigured into a cat (via face paint) by "Tonks."


We learned that JK Rowling visited this store for the release of the first book. Here's where she signed their author wall. She wasn't famous yet - only 15 people attended the book signing!


I've read all of 3 pages of the new book :-( DH got it first, since he is the faster reader, and I got to read #6 first.
